A few weeks ago, I (Cattle Dog Forge) was mentioned in an article on Blacksmiths and Bladesmiths in Georgia in GEMC Georgia Magazine.

Cattle Dog Forge donated a specially made oyster knife to the Annual "Hoot on the Hooch" yearly fundraiser. I’m always happy to be a part.

Just finished this custom for a gentleman who has purchased several knives from Cattle Dog Forge.

This is a set of 3 kitchen knives (Chef's, prep and paring) I made for friends of mine over about a year period.  

I now offer handcrafted leather sheaths from Upland Custom Leather for my letter openers made from antique (1854) wrought iron which are forged by hand.

This paring knife is the third in a set of three knives that where made for for Larry and Linda Hamrick.

The reviews of the oyster knives by Robert and Julie Rivers while scalloping recently at Shell Point just south of Tallahassee, Florida are in and were incredible.

The upper knife was made for Julie with a stabilized dark Myrtle wood handle and peened brass pins.  The bottom one is for Robert.  The handle is stabilized Cocobolo with peened copper pins.

Cattle Dog forge is always happy to help a worthy cause.  That is why I donated a knife and sheath for one of the prizes at the upcoming Sparrow's Nest Golf Tournament to be held at the Athens Country Club on Monday August 8th.

A project manager for a large construction company in Atlanta, GA wanted to thank his team leaders for all their help on a project that just recently wrapped up.  I forged 7 letter openers from the bars of a jail built in Petersburg, VA in 1854.

My good friend and leathersmith, Bud Siniard of Upland Custom Leather wanted a boot knife.  He wanted it small with a G10 handle. Here’s what we came up with.
