2022 Christmas Present for My Wife

It gets a little harder every year to make Jean, my wife, a unique gift from the shop. This year, I made her a very special chef’s knife with all the features she loves. The beautiful steel is Chevron Copper Mai (Baker’s Forge and Tool) and the handle is her favorite stacked Siberian Birch bark. There is a bronze ferrule and end cap with copper and bronze spacers The 80CrV2 core gets and holds a remarkable edge. I honestly hate to say this, but the picture doesn’t do this knife justice.

Next year is going to be tough!
